Barbara was very responsive and friendly. We loved the decoration and artwork Barbara has and it was a joy to be there and discover something new and interesting to reflect on. We had a very restful and relaxing vacation which we both needed away from our stressful professions. It was exactly what we needed and very close to the Brohard dog beach, where we took our puppy to and had a blast!

Old island home (reminded us of a lake cabin) conveniently located on the Key. Quiet and peaceful. King size bed very comfortable. Barbara is a kind and wonderful hostess.

Barbara and her husband Jim were so friendly and welcoming. They were fast to communicate and easy to get ahold of. I highly recommend this wonderful location. Everything was perfect and we appreciated the hospitality so much. Also, the backyard is amazing!! We loved it.

Barbara's place was special and we wish we could stay there every summer. I also loved how the place doesn't feel like typical AirBNB... with furnitures, decors, and objects look like they are simply from Target and Ikea.

One of the first things I loved about this Airbnb is the decor. It's eclectic and has a lot of personality and I really love spaces like that. The art was so fun! Location wise this place is a dream. It's so close to so many beaches and attractions and shops. The hosts provided some very helpful maps and brochures, and also a lot of really good information in their welcome binder. My favorite beach ended up being a very short 5 minute walk from the place, just a small public beach that became my favorite place to watch the sunset at. The backyard is lush and beautiful. The beds lean more towards the firm side, if you like that kind of mattress. The jacuzzi tub was nice and deep and the hot water worked well. One bedroom is in an open loft. There is a privacy curtain but there is still a small window of space where you can see up into it from the first floor, so just be mindful if you're staying with others! The hosts were so kind and helpful and very responsive.

Overall I loved my stay at this AirBNB. Barbara and Jim were very friendly and helpful, and the location of the home is in a great spot - convenient and also private, and a very short distance to the bridge on the north end which was excellent. They were also more than accommodating, to say the very least - great hosts! FYI - and this is NOT A NEGATIVE, just a heads up. The building is essentially a duplex, and accommodations are directly next to the host's primary home, with a separate front entrance. Although the space itself is private, including the sunroom/back patio area, the yard is shared with the main home - and the owner's two (very sweet, friendly) dogs. I have an elderly pup who is, frankly, a little ornery in her old age, and she doesn't always mesh well with more energetic dogs, so I just had to keep her inside the unit to keep the barking back-and-forth at bay. But the hosts were very accommodating with regard to giving my dog yard time also. Overall GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Very comfortable and quiet and area was perfect! Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the beach nearby due to the Red tide.

This is our second stay! The home was built my Barbara’s dad in the 1950’s and Barbara has filled it with the artwork of her friends. It has some of the quirks of an old home but it more than makes up for that with character. Barbara and Jim live right next door and will readily address any questions and problems. Just ask them! The gas grill had a broken burner and Jim immediately bought and installed a new grill. They will also tell you where to eat and what to see. The yard has mature trees with orchids growing in them. A walkway through the back gate takes you to a small public beach from which you can see amazing sunsets. We had the use of beach chairs, fishing poles and boogie boards. Don’t miss going to Ted Spurling Beach Park on Lido Key for shelling that rivals Sanibel. Easy parking and restroom with picnic areas to enjoy. Jim and Barbara were very hospitable to my gay sister when she visited. LGBTQ people should have no worries about staying here.
